CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP RULES
-The club championship is open to all first claim members of Riviera Racers
- You must complete at least 5 of the club championship races during the year to be eligible for fan end of season league table position and awards
– You must keep your club membership in date to remain a participant in the club championship
– Club kit must be worn at all championship races and park runs
– For Park Runs you must ensure your barcode is scanned in order for your name and time to appear in the official park run results and claim your points. Please ensure that you have selected Riviera Racers as your club in your Park Run profile.
- Participants are responsible for ensuring they read and abide by any rules set by the race organisers of each championship race. Points will only be awarded to members who comply with all race rules and are listed on the finalised race results.
– Any queries regarding the Club Championship should be directed to the Club Championship Officer (currently Anne Roberts) by email: rivieraracers2017@gmail.com
– The Club Championship will close at the end of November with awards being presented at the clubs annual Christmas Party / Awards Evening
- 20 points will be awarded to the highest placed male and female in each race, followed by 19 points for 2nd, 18 points for 3rd and so on.
- Where available, chip time will be used to work out race positions. Where chip time is not available, race time or official park run times will be used.
- An average score will then be calculated by dividing a members total points by the number of races they have taken part in.
- League table position will be based on the average score, with the requirement that you must complete at least 5 championship races during 2024 to be eligible for an end of season league table score.
- Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions in the league table in both the male and female category.
- A medal will be awarded to any members who complete all 11 championship races
